Which Are Seann William Scott’s Best Characters?

Seann William Scott has played many engaging characters, but he’ll probably be best remembered for Steve Stiffler from the “American Pie” franchise. Stiffler is a loudmouth, party animal and all-around showoff. On the other hand, he so often receives strong comeuppances for his uncouth ways that many audience members feel sorry for him, as when he drinks a beer not realizing it contains an extremely disgusting ingredient.

Another great Scott character is Chester Greenburg from “Dude, Where’s My Car?” (2000).Didn’t catch that? This explains it. Greenburg is a genial slacker and stoner with an astoundingly low IQ and a strong sex obsession. He’s the best friend of Jesse Montgomery III, played by Ashton Kutcher, and the film revolves around the moronic pair’s quest to find Jesse’s missing automobile.

A third memorable Scott role is Anson Wheeler from “Role Models” (2008). Wheeler is a KISS-loving, self-satisfied energy drink salesman who, along with his pal Danny (played by Paul Rudd), is sentenced to community service. He’s then matched up with a boy in a mentoring program. In classic comedic fashion, Wheeler learns to be a better person in the process of trying to inspire this kid, who at first has no desire to spend time with Wheeler.

The movie Road Trip, while being a comedic romp and a who’s who of actors, was also a valuable learning tool for anyone wondering how NOT to raise their auto insurance rates. Countless times in the film poor decisions are made that either damage or utterly obliterate their vehicle of choice and, had this been real life, they’d have been in some serious financial trouble.

Road Trip pretty much proves that auto insurance sites like http://www.autoinsurancerater.com/ aren’t the only place you can learn about car conduct cause and effect. However, if you’re still wondering what can affect your auto insurance rates, I invite you to check out the link or read the list below:

1.) Your age. It sucks, I know, but some providers try to penalize you coming and going. If you’re too young or too old, you could be considered a high-risk driver and that raises rates.

2.) Your cars safety rating. Fast and furious cars look nice, but don’t always have the best safety rating. Aside from the obvious perk of wanting a safer car, there is the fact that a safer car usually won’t make your rates soar.

3.) Your history. Are you a troublemaker when it comes to the road? Your history could come back to haunt you.

New York can be an adventure. Lots of people ride the metro systems or take buses to get around. Other people get by on foot. At the other end of spectrum are those brave souls that decide to take the streets by car.

There’s a funny thing about the streets of New York. Driving there can be a dance or dirge. It all depends on whether you know about the best routes. The road trips through the city can be rough because this is often just a “passing through New York” trip. This means that the driver will not commonly know about the best routes.
This same driver gets stuck in traffic with the brave souls that are traveling through the city by car. Add taxi drivers to the mix and this becomes a nightmare. This is why the best routes for traveling through New York involve the roads less traveled.

Ironically, there are no untraveled roads in New York. There are some roads, however, that are less of a tourist attraction. Don’t take the popular scene route. Get a good GPS system that can help you steer clear of all the Big Apple tour attractions that slow you down.

There have been countless movies made about a group that goes on a cross country trip and gets into all different sorts of hijinx while on the road. But, there is only one Road Trip. The movie, written and directed by Todd Phillips, is probably the best “on the road” movie ever made. The story revolves around a group of college students at Ithaca University who have make their way to Austin, Texas to prevent the main protagonist’s girlfriend from seeing the sex tape that he accidentally made while cheating on her at school. It is follows the plot line of their disturbed friend who is obsessed with feeding mice to one of the boy’s pet snake. That character is played to perfection by Tom Green.

Todd Phillips really hit the mark with this movie. It may because he has a little experience on the road himself. He had to tour extensively with ephemeral rock bank Phish while he directed the documentary about a year with the band called Bittersweet Hotel. The casting of the movie didn’t hurt either. The best move was cast DJ Qualls as the nerdy, virgin character who the boys only need for the trip because he has a car. If you like movies about the road there is no better choice than Road Trip.

As summer approaches, so does road trip season. Before you load up and pile into the car, make sure you remember to pack these ten essential items for your road trip.

1. Water. Whether you pack bottles or a thermos, you will appreciate the ability to have a drink without making a stop.

2. Snacks. Convenience stores are notoriously expensive and stocked with unhealthy snacks. Take your own for a healthy, cheaper alternative.

3. Map of fun locations on the way. Never heard of this before? Get up to speed here . Make your trip as much about the journey as the destination.

4. Car entertainment. Whether you have movies, books, or just some car games, you need to keep the kids (and kids at heart) entertained to avoid hearing, “Are we there yet?” for hours.

5. Pillow. Just in case you need a nap.

6. Sweater. Avoid fights over who gets to control the temperature inside the car.

7. Camera. You never know what you will see!

8. Cash. You never know when credit card machines will be down.

9. First aid kit. Your car should never be without.

10. Spare tire/car first aid kit. Better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

What defines a great movie? Some may argue it’s the plot, the characters, or the originality. Others may argue it’s what the audience takes away after the movie. There’s nothing exceptionally original about the Road Trip – plot or characters. So what has made it a go-to, night-in movie even a decade after its release? Having thousands of Road Trip fans repeating the memorable one liners.

Barry as he tempts the snake to eat the mouse: Unleash the fury!
Why it’s a great line: Can be used as a response to anyone complaining, regardless of the fury level.

Beth: Are there any guys out there who are JUST NORMAL?
Why it’s a great line: What female hasn’t asked herself that, daily?

Rubin: It’s supposed to be a challenge, that’s why they call it a shortcut. If it was easy it would just be the way.
Why it’s a great line: The art of the intelligent, sarcastic response at its finest.

E.L.: It’s never cheating when you’re in a different area code.
Why it’s a great line: Created the college guy’s go-to justification during guy’s night out.
